Designated Nap Time Areas for Greenwich High School

0 have signed. Let’s get to 100!

As a student at Greenwich High School, I know of many students who not only would want The Nap Room to be a reality, but need it to have a successful work day and better attitude towards school. Students would be required to sign in for attendance purposes. They will have to sign up in advance and only be able to do so during an open, lunch block, learning center or study hall period. Each student will only get a certain amount of times to use this area a quarter to ensure that the entire student body is able to benefit from this area. The area will be run by GHS staff willing to check in on the students, but for the students comfort, it is requested that supervisors not stay in the room for the entire Napping period. I think you'd have a hard time sleeping if someone was watching you too. The lights would be shut off in this room and the blinds closed with soft music playing to give students the perfect napping environment. This idea will not only help Greenwich High School students with their attitude and success in classes, but also benefit the teachers when students come to class refreshed and ready to learn. The Nap Room, or Rooms based on the demand from students, will be the best thing to happen to GHS since the Preforming Arts Center. Thank you for your consideration.
