Stop bicycling and outdoor magazines from running ads from Vista Outdoor brands

Vista Outdoor is a $3 billion company that owns dozens of brands. More than 75 percent of its business comes from gun and ammunition sales: it’s one of the biggest ammo companies around, and a proud supporter of the National Rifle Association (NRA). But in 2015, in a bid to diversify its holdings, Vista started buying non-shooting outdoors and bike companies. Vista now owns Camelbak, Giro, Bell Helmets, Bollé, Camp Chef, and Blackburn, among other brands.
In the aftermath of the Florida school shooting, however, cyclists and other athletes are boycotting Vista's cycling brands due to the company's ties to the gun industry.
We cannot stop there. We need to apply pressure to magazines to stop accepting ads from any brands owned by Vista. Please join me in telling the publishers of Bicycling, Bike, Outside, Climbing and Backpacker that you will not buy another issue of their magazines until they publicly repudiate all advertising from Vista-owned brands.
