Ice rinks build communities. Families can come together to skate. Teams can be formed and built together. Friends and teenagers can gather safely for wholesome fun. And after all is said and done, they leave to enjoy meals together, shop nearby, hold team parties at local bars and restaurants, and more. 

Many kids and adults have to travel to at least Hauppauge and further to either figure skate or play ice hockey year round. Having a indoor rink in Riverhead would bring jobs, income and people spending money to a plot of land not generating any. Ice rinks are also a great place to hold different types of fund raising or community events.
