Bruce Yu has been there for us. ALL of us. He has fought for us. He has been our voice. He has advocated for numerous rights. This includes the "mark freeze". And later school start times. And the inclusion of e-sports. And recently, our profile pictures. 

Now we must be there for him. 

Bruce had been REJECTED from re-nomination for the upcoming election. He is by far believed to be the GREATEST student trustee of ALL TIME. Rejecting such a legend is completely unacceptable. 

It was most likely his brave refusal to accept motions -- such as the abolition of student councils -- which has led to the rejection of his re-election application, by a committee which includes the same people involved in making those harmful decisions.

Four new candidates have been selected. So, unfortunately, Bruce will not be student trustee next year. 

The YRDSB needs to be better.
