Scrap the new Partner Programme requirements now!!!
This petition had 228 supporters
Recent news today was revealed by YouTube that new Partner Programme terms had been applied. Restricting hundreds and thousands of small creators monitization unless they had surpassed 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours of watch time over a 12 month period.
This is a ridiculous, non-sensicle and cruel decision made by the powers that be at YouTube. Many creators have put years of craft in their work to promote their channel only to feel worthless and shut-out by their website. What YouTube sees as small "pocket change" that the small creators recieve, for many it keeps their channel going to sustain the level of quality their content requires to connect with their audeince.
It will also prove to be a disastrous move for YouTube in years to come, with thousands of potential creators that could earn YouTube money in the future being put off and demotivated that they will have to put so much effort in for very little reward.
Finally, it seems unethical that small creators that have obeyed every rule in the Youtube rulebook suffer while large creatos that abuse these guidelines get away almost scot free, Logan Paul Vlogs is a massive example. Why do we have to pay the punishment for this person's stupid and selfish actions?
By signing this petition, you stand with fellow small creators and freinds of the internet in taking a stand against these new requirements and showing YouTube that you do not agree that this is a productive move for the website.
