At this point I think it’s safe to say that family channels existing on the YouTube platform are extremely dangerous and exploitive. Daddyofive, the McBroom family, the LaBrant family, Jordan Cheyenne, 8 passengers, and the Stauffer family amongst other creators are great examples of this, most of these creators still remain on the platform and YouTube has taken no action against them. These are creators that have put their young children on the YouTube platform in order to exploit and abuse them for views, likes and subscribers. Abuse has occurred on the platform as well and the content seems to remain on the site. YouTube NEEDS to make changes to their guidelines and enforce them or take down family channels in general. It is harming children and putting them at risk of being exposed/traumatized. We need to save the kids, family channels are only hurting them and YouTube hasn’t seemed to take action against the child exploitation and abuse happening on their website. We need to put a spotlight on these issues or else they’re just going to keep getting swept under the rug. Help protect kids from being exploited by their parents online. Help change YouTube guidelines. There needs to be a change for once and we can be the people to help initiate that change.
