Hello! I first want to acknowledge that I have never and will never approve the jokes Shane Dawson has made in his past. I recognize the racist, pedophilic, and other inexcusable jokes that he has made and how it may have hurt people. There is no excuse for it. 

Recently, all three of Shane's Youtube channels have been demonized due to the resurfacing of these jokes. Though it's understandable, I don't think that Shane should be demonetized for jokes he has done in the past. 

All videos containing insensitive content or jokes on Shane's channels have been deleted to the best of Shane's knowledge. In a recent video titled "Taking Accountability",  Shane acknowledges his past and apologizes for the disgusting jokes he has made. In the video, he makes it very clear that he regrets and hates the racist, pedophilic, and other insensible jokes he has made in the past. I don’t feel that it is right for him to be penalized for content that has already been deleted. 

Shane has made an impact on so many people’s lives.  His content helped fans out of dark places including myself.  Shane’s videos helped me when I was going through a dark time in my life. I've have been watching Shane for five years now. He is a very different person from who he was five years ago. Any person who has watched his recent videos can see that. Shane is not perfect, I know that. He is only human who makes mistakes much like the rest of us. I believe that those mistakes don’t define who we are in the future. We can’t hold onto the past forever, at some point we need to move on. Let Shane grow and move forward.
