Danie Mansell started this petition to YouTube and

YouTube is not catering for their disabled viewers.
Their closed captioning or subtitle system is so flawed that if you turn it on you will see that the subtitles written on the screen are nothing like what is really being said in the video.
Try watching your favorite youtuber on mute with only subtitles and you will see what life is like for disabled/deaf people trying to watch content.
YouTubes system in place right now is randomly generated or community written, which is hardly ever done.
We should all be asking what YouTube is doing for their disabled community.
There needs to be a better system in place for people who need subtitles to enjoy content.
And this shouldn't be pushed onto the viewers or the creators, this should be the job of the platform and people working there.
I ask you to sign this petition to help disabled and deaf people have equal viewing rights like any one else.
The fact that this isnt already in place now is very upsetting, but you can make a change now.
I myself am deaf and rely on subtitles when watching content. You will personally know someone who is deaf or hard of hearing, be it friend or family member that also rely on subtitles and closed captioning.
All I am asking for is for this petition to be signed and shared so that the deaf/disabled/hard of hearing community can have a good viewing experience like any one else does. For YouTube to step up and cater to the disabled community.
It is time to stand up and make a change.
YouTube needs to put a system in place so that there are legible and accurate subtitles on their videos and content.
Thank you
