In the halcyon early days of YouTube was born the greatest meme of all time: Rick-rolling!

Who hasn't spent countless hours crafting obscure-looking links that mischievously send "victims" to this most infamous of music videos?

But with Youtube's current aggressive advertising, most of the joy has been sucked out of this formerly jolly pastime.  Pretty much anyone loading that page is going to see an ad or two before the video itself plays... and this REALLY just isn't conducive to that sense of surprise and astonishment that made the meme so entertaining to begin with.
