These children are unable to consent to these videos. As an pediatric Occupation Therapist, I see the prolification of this content as spreading misinformation and causing harm to these and other children. Children should not be used for public entertainment nor to further the public profile of adults, particularly when in distressed and vulnerable states.

We need to remember that what’s posted online is ‘forever’. There’s no way of calculating the harms and negative knock-on effects that lies ahead for these children as they grow up. Think about how this sort of material can be exploited by health and life insurance companies, or even future employers or life-partners. But most of all, think of how exploited and naked these people will feel when they come to realise they’re the star of this kind of online media material

Basic rights of children are being violated by allowing this content on your platform.

Family YouTube channels in general are highly problematic but exploiting an already-vulnerable autistic child in one of their most vulnerable moments is terrible because it pushes the ableist stereotype of how tragic and burdensome it is to raise an autistic child

I think it is disgusting that autistic children are being exploited by their parents on YouTube. It is about time that YouTube takes action that shows respect for their rights instead of allowing the exploitation of these minors for monetary gain.
