Larry Simmons started this petition to YouTube

YouTube is forcing content creators to either mark their content as for "Under 13" or "Over 13" to comply with the COPPA law. However, according to the FTC the for "Mixed Audiences" option should and could be available for the content creators.

YouTube knew this for a while now but chose not to implement the third option "Mixed Audiences" for whatever reason.

We as creators and the people that allowed for YouTube to become so big in the first place, demand the availability of the third option to be added. It is our content and we should be allowed to decide who our audiences are, whether we create content for kids, adults or people of all ages.

It is unacceptable when we as a creators are forced to mark our content incorrectly when we know really well that the video we made is for everyone
(given that it was the creator's intended audience of course).

Give us the freedom of choice!
