In New York City, more than 1 in 3 women have experienced rape, physical violence, or harassment by another in their lifetime. Being born and raised in New York, it's been where we've been living our whole life. Experiencing and seeing an absurdly enormous amount of disregarded cases and victims, even ourselves having to outrun strangers because of anxiety and fear. From our first-hand experience, it is apparent that sexual harassment and violence have become more pressing matters. Feeling anxious about people following us or thinking we could get kidnapped on the streets of our neighborhood shouldn't occur every day. Some may argue that +10,000~ are arrested every year in New York City. However, out of 10,000 cases of sexual assault, only 2-3 will be incarcerated. This is a formal request to have more frequent officers stand by in their community in highly condensed areas.
