Have you ever seen long lines of people waiting for a bus as you were driving during rush hour? As a native New Yorker, New York City is my home, it is what makes up who I am. Although this city is my home, it has its flaws, one being with public transportation. This can be solved however, if we all step in and work together. In New York City, a major issue many New Yorkers would appreciate being solved would be the flaws of public transportation, such as the constant delays of the buses and trains, and the ultimately slow speeds. There may be some who argue that public transportation is fine just the way it is, however this is because of how the situation has been normalized for so long, people don't know what it’s like to have trains arrive on time anymore. Just because some may think it’s fine doesn’t change the fact of how normalized the problems public transportation has had for many years. ‌ Among other things, I and other New Yorkers demand trains and buses that run efficiently, and do not experience substantial‌ ‌delays.
