My heart breaks watching police officers use excessive force against individuals time and time again. The murder of George Floyd was the tipping point for many Americans who cannot stand by and watch this kind of thing happen any longer. I saw a male police officer push a clearly smaller female protester to the ground and keep walking. I saw police officers smash the windows of a car, use a taser on the driver, and drag him out. I saw a police cruiser drive into a crowd of protesters. 

My daughter asked me why aren't the bad cops just arrested? A good question. While there are a lot of good officers out there, it is hard to stand against a tightly knit fraternity covering for each other.

Call your local police chief. Email them. Ask them to hold their officers accountable for their actions. We need the justice system to change. We need better profiling for police applicants. We need better conduct training for them. The system NEEDS TO CHANGE.
