Re-open Rossington Youth Centre

We are wanting to open the Rossington Youth Centre again, so teenagers have a safe place to go on an evening.

At the moment we have no fixed place where we can hang out with our friends, as we usually hang about shops or parks. The youth centre used to be a popular place for all teenagers to use but due to the changes in the local council budget the youth centre was closed.

As people who attend local schools and live in Rossington, we believe that there is a significant need for this. The idea is to run a trial, which would be planned and delivered by a group of local teenagers, which are hopefully peer appointed. Alongside this there will be an adult with over 3 years direct experience working with vulnerable teenagers, including reducing anti-social behaviour and promoting becoming an active citizen within the local community. They are also from Rossington and understand to current pressures in today's society.

The goal is to make the youth centre a permanent place that helps the local community.
