Why this petition matters

Started by Rachel Appelbaum

Racial bias in the judicial system in the United States is an issue that needs to be faced immediately. Within our court and legal systems, discrimination and prejudice has played an unnecessary role in judicial situations. Racially motivated police account for the seemingly increasing number of black American deaths throughout our country.

As a country, it is time we ultimately step up and support our fellow neighbors. Since the murder of George Floyd in the spring of 2020, 23 other black victims have been unlawfully killed due to implicit bias from white male police officers.

This needs to end now. It is my privilege and my right to stand up for people of color, and work with others to stop the judicial system from unlawful killing of black men and women.

It will take 5 seconds for you to sign this petition, and take a stand with me and many others to make our country safer. People of color deserve more.
