ALLOWING JV STUDENTS TO KEEP WARM DURING THE WINTER

The hallways, classrooms, and cafeteria of Jean Vanier Catholic High School are quite cold and the students of JV are tired of it. It has reached the point where a large portion of the student body attempted to go against dress code to be able to keep warm. Being cold throughout the school is changing the focus of the students thus affecting their ability to learn. Staff members of the school have a prioritized focus on ensuring students are in proper uniform, instead of having their attention on much more serious situations in the school. Solutions to the temperature issue are either to increase the temperature inside the school or allow students of Jean Vanier to wear sweaters. Our school is fortunate enough to provide affordable spirit wear for the student body; a compromise could be allowing Jean Vanier students to be wearing school spirit wear as an alternative to the uniform, for the sake of keeping warm. As a community, we want change.
