Yearly rabies vaccines on dogs are unnecessary and dangerous!
0 have signed. Let’s get to 1,000!
The rabies vaccine is given to puppies and then a booster is given at 6 or 12 months. After this it is unnecessary for dogs to be given the rabies vaccine yearly, it is dangerous to our pets and in UK it can be administered every 3 years because that is how long the booster is effective for.
Gibraltar is not a developing country and we do not have loads of wild life. Why is the rabies booster given on a yearly basis here and why is it used as a bargaining chip to aquire your dogs license? Why is the same dose given to a small chihuahua and a great dane?
There are more serious potential long term side effects of the vaccine, these include:
- Tumour formation at the site of the injection.
- Epilepsy or other seizure disorders.
- Digestive problems.
- Muscle weakness.
- Autoimmune conditions and a weakened immune system.
Can we change the law in Gibraltar so that boosters can be administered with a 3 year break?
