In Boy Scouts you learn many things, and a set of morals is one of the biggest ones. You also learn respect and, as the Scout Law states, to be Reverant. Reverant is defined as: [a] feeling or showing deep and solemn respect. The Boy Scouts of America, and in turn the Yankee Clipper Council are not showing this respect. They are instead embracing a policy of discrimination unfair to not just those scouts excluded, but the scouts, leaders, and volunteers who are a part of scouting but dissagree with this policy. This must change. Thankfully the National Council is debating wheather or not to make this move to equality. Some Council's are already backing equality. I hope we can make the Yankee Clipper Council into one of those.
