we of African American decent need to support our HBCU's and this is unfair treatment of those whom helped so many.

My daughter came home from classes and read the email about how all of these people had lost their jobs! Specifically Ms Kim! This was a Xavier alumni who has worked for Xavier ever since she graduated. She’s dedicated her life to this school and this is how they repaid them!

I am concerned about the method in which the current XULA administration is making decisions that that have long-term impact on the traditions and legacy of Xavier university and how they communicate them to stakeholders.

No notice, no severance, no kindness to those with combined decades of service to the university and THEIR students.

These terminations are very concerning to me. I personally know a few of the staff being “fired” who walked in Katrina waters and neglected their own families for the safety of Xavier students. Is this how we repay them? Surely, there was a more humane and just way to accomplish this restructuring. Question, what is to be the outcome of student programs going forward? I ask because I was and am a primary driving force in getting an incoming student to apply at Xavier as part of the incoming freshman class (a 4.0 student by the way and private pay) . She was accepted. She could have gone anywhere for her education. I am now rattled- did I encourage she and family wisely? will she be okay when she hits the campus in August? I am now second guessing my recommendations. I plan on being much more careful of my future recommendations.
