Graham Waters started this petition to Wychavon Council

We need to save the Chateau Impney from redevelopment, this building and grounds are local history to Droitwich and is a beautiful landmark, John Corbett built this landmark for his wife in 1873 and he was a local businessman that supported the area.

It was a shame to see the Chateau impney close in March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, over the last 3 years before the coronavirus pandemic they restarted the Chateau Hill Climb which started back in the 1950s, people came from far and wide for this event and was becoming more and more popular every year, people came not just for the Chateau impney Hill Climb but for the beautiful building and grounds.

A application has been put forward to Wychavon Council for demolition of some of the existing buildings, the Chateau Impney is a Grade 2 listed building and therefore should only be touched to keep the beauty of the building and grounds.

I have lived in Droitwich since 2009 and have seen Droitwich change to much for the worse with local history being closed down, the council has agreed to the building of housing estate after housing estate over the years but they have not put in the infrastructure to support this ie. Schools, doctors, shops and good access to these areas. When are they going to stop.
