Hi my name is Tabatha T. Former drug addict,dealer, and person suffering from a chemical imbalance (mental illnesses depression) I had several run in with law enforcement , no parenting skills , no social skills and not a clue of what a spiritual relationships consisted of. I was told about MHFH in the fulton county jail waiting for extradition and I kept in mind that it was a faith based program and your kids was allowed to come receive services also.This was in 2001 I got out of prison continued to sell and use drugs ,neglect my kids ,and my mental health that I wasn't aware of at the time! This went on for 8 years then on October 1st 2009 in an obliterated cocaine high I called MHFH for help due to extreme paranoia,suicidal thoughts from the high volume of drug use and the feeling of low self worth ! I was at my bottom !!! The intake coordinator stated no beds for women with children this was on a Thursday I was devastated and that evening I got a call back from the CEO Mrs.Lucy Hall telling me to come in on Monday October 5th ! That's been 9 years ago NO DRUGS!!my two younger kids graduated high school and now in college they received therapy for abandonment and several other countless hours of therapy with MHFH I couldn't afford! I paid child support the $16,000.00 the was used as government benefits due to my incarceration ! I mangage my depression through therapy.I have held a steady job up until the last three years that's because I started my own company Kleenupwoman Kleening Service.And this year I started a non profit called Woman with A Plan , this organization will assist returning citizens reiterate back in society in a healthy productive manner.I serve on my church jail ministry amongst several other organizations dealing with reform and re entry.This wouldn't have been possible without MHFH! We are pleading to stay in Sandy Springs it's a safe area and our ladies have bought a lot to the community its several businesses that hired our ladies during their transitional period and they are still employed severalal faith communities and organizations have partnered with MHFH that is home base and we plan to keep it that way with your support.
