Smart Parking Ltd, use a monitor system at Stockwell Group Practice (SGP) that allows you to enter your car registration when you have attended the Drs and have made use of the car park.

During Covid the main reception area and the monitoring machine could not be accessed, and several people have received tickets at £60 for not registering their attendance, if you have only attended for the collection or return of specimen then the reception keep no record and you have no evidence that you attended on official business. I have received such a ticket and so have several other people who all have attended the surgery on official business, other than appointments such as collecting letters, vials for specimen collection or returns etc. My ticket was for being on site for 16mins, when I spoke to a Dr at the window  and received a specimen bottle another patient received a ticket for 12 minutes when dropping off a requested specimen. There was no access to the monitoring machine to enter the car registration and was not informed by the staff at SGP that it was still a requirement so assumed the service was suspended during the time that reception was not accessible.

Smart Parking and SGP and any other Drs surgery that use their service should have the responsibility of informing all patients that the system is not suspended and you have to give in your registration upon EVERY visit regardless of access to the monitoring system. The travesty is that people that are ill and have attended their Drs for support and medical intervention have ended up with a £60 ticket or £100 if appealed against, and Smart Parking Ltd and SGP have shown no consideration, stop this targeting of sick people its outrageous.
