On September 2, the WWSMJATC trustees adopted policy recommended by legal counsel that requires all students be vaccinated by October 18, 2021 to be eligible to enter WWSMJATC training centers. This is a petition for WWSMJATC to reconsider the decision. Regardless of all the misinformation or political opinions surrounding Covid-19, this is a matter of human rights. For numerous reasons, many of the apprentices attending training have chosen not to get the vaccine. The mandate is not part of our bargaining agreement and should atleast be voted on. This mandate is really an ultimatum- take the shot or lose your job. No one should have to give up their bodily autonomy to keep their achievements and career.  Please sign this petition and let the WWSMJATC know how many members disagree with mandates and ultimatums regardless of your opinion or vaccination status. This isn't about a vaccine or Covid-19, it’s about individual liberty and choice.
