My father was on the ships, and though it is too late for him, many of his brothers are in desperate circumstances. This small tribute is both right, and overdue.

As being a part of the merchants and having put time in belive that those men deserve more and also there medical should be paid in full.What does this say to all Americans that we are just a number as we are but so many us work our asses off for the this great country and recive nothing as the politician have all there medical paid and there retirement in...so please understand this...for those of us thst work and pay our taxes on our labor..after all we pay 33 percent you thst you take what do we get win we are on our death bed... A country with no regards to the ones that have gave all... so in closing Do the wright thing..

I'm signing this petition because both my father in law and my stepfather both sure that US Merchant Marines unfortunately they have both since passed in the last 10 years so it's one of those who died in the fight for the freedom of our country and others I sign this petition in their honor

I am one of these Merchant Marines. I will be 89 this month and was wounded during WWII and I joined at age 17 to defend my Country and have never felt that my service was appreciated.
