There has been a push to end close contact quarantine for those students and staff who have been exposed to COVID-19. We are requesting that the close contact quarantine is maintained to reduce the spread of the virus and keep our students and staff, as well as their families, safe.

Ideally it would be beneficial if masks were also required at a minimum for students & staff that are not vaccinated.  Studies have proven time & again that the best way to prevent spreading the virus is wearing masks and social distancing, but we all have been in our classrooms and know that it can be a challenge to appropriately social distance in the space provided. As this is not an option, and there is currently no mask requirement for the district, we as that the close contact quarantine continue.

Please continue to keep our community safe and - at a minimum - maintain the current safety practices in accordance with guidelines put out by the CDC, local health department, and even the school district itself.

We are all "over COVID", but the best way to get PAST it is to slow the spread and protect our community.
