Recently, Wrexham Councillors have been criticised and discouraged from using edited video clips from Wrexham County Borough Council meetings.
The grounds for such complaints, from the council, have been based on claims of copyright infringement. The copyright of the footage captured at council meetings is owned by Wrexham County Borough Council.
We, the under signed, believe that it is the electorate and tax payers of Wrexham who should ultimately dictate how the copyright of such footage is controlled and believe that use by councillors is wholly permissible.
