Anon Anon started this petition to Wreake Valley Academy

Recently as most, not all parents will be aware. The new headteacher of Wreake Valley Academy has introduced that from April 2021 it will be essential that all students MUST wear black polishable shoes. Why after all this time? No issues? Just simply for the sake of ‘looking smarter’. I can understand if it is to avoid bullying but my children have not witnessed any such bullying or heard of it. These shoes are not comfortable, if you look up what happens to feet after too long, they almost begin to get deformed. How can we make our children go through this? How is this fair on them? How are they supposed to be able to concentrate on their GCSES, the only important thing about school while they’re going through this physical pain? It’s not ideal i pay a large lump of money of some ‘more comfortable shoes’ which they probably will not be anyway when i could just go and get some simple trainers for my children. This new head, has he introduced himself? Do we know his name? Have all the students met him? My son doesn’t even know this mans name yet he’s expected to obey by these ridiculous rules after around three years of no problems. Now i’m sure you'll be aware what the last head actually did, embezzled money from the school. Which was meant to be for our children. The school was very hesitant to tell us this, the only way we’ve found it out is through friendships with members of staff who have leaked the information. Now on this day, i’m asking you to sign and share this petition to make sure our children don’t have to go through this pain and can ultimately maintain the comfortablity they’ve had all these years. I will be ringing this new headteacher when this is all over and school reopen, i simply do not think it’s fair for our children to have to go through this. Thankyou please sign and share X
