Loggerhead sea turtles have small shells and large flippers. They would typically migrate more than 7,500 miles between their nests, but that journey for them isn't comfortable. While trying to navigate their way, these little guys have been caught on longline hooks(used for targeting swordfish and tuna)  or eaten plastic. These hooks don't just "catch and kill" other fish but thousands of sea turtles. The best things people can do now to help are throwing away your trash into the right bins, not disturbing the nesting turtles during hatching, nest, or hatchlings, Participating in coastal cleanups events and carrying reusable water bottles and shopping bags. To keep this specie's safe, we have to do everything we can as a community.
