These myriad of proposed changes aren’t supported by grassroots sailing. The Laser class became an Olympic sport because it was popular not the other way around. Keep the Finn. World Sailing should serve sailors not dictate to them.

The vote was very poorly run, at best mismanaged, at worst actually rigged. There is simply no need to change the current class’s. the keelboat is an especially dumb idea.

Sometimes a change causes great loss. Changing sail boat types will be a great loss for a strong tradition in having a boat class for the heavy weights in sailing.

Two person keel boat? So married. Couple, one who has never sailed, 24hr TV coverage, selectect by ballot. That might be good television. No value to world sailing.
