The amount of logistical computations across all devices and networks that have to account for changes in time zones is unmeasurable.  These computations make up for an immense amount of time spent and energy consumption.  These computations can be avoided by transitioning the globe away from time zones, and standardizing all citizens with Universal Time.  

Furthermore, time zones go against the logic of true time.  Not only are there computations across devices and networks, but also an unnecessary amount of human calculations during day-to-day life when considering time zone changes.  By using Universal Time, human processing, planning, collaboration, and logistics can be streamlined significantly.
