Word Book Day...

It’s a bit of harmless fun. Yah?

We dress our kids up in the best flammable fancies 'BestClothes’ has to offer (or if you’re a parent with Blue Peter prowess, a handmade ensemble fashioned from felt.)

Well apparently only some of us do!

Some schools say it is too much to ask of parents to dress their kids up for yet another ‘commercial day’ BUT surely this one’s just as important, if not more than all the others?

AND how hard is it to wrap some foil round your little toe-rag’s head and declare “he is the Tin Man!”, or spend a little pocket-change to promote the wonder of reading? (A modest costume costs no more than a MuckDonald’s (not so) Happy Meal ... Which we all seem to be able to stretch to!)

So, if you’re keen for your kid never to be left off of the book-day bandwagon, and favour fun and creativity over the daily grind, give this little petition a big book-worm nod and
