Census is traditionally done in Sierra Leone every 10 years. We just did a Census in 2015. So traditionally, the president should call for another Census in 2025.

The government of Sierra Leone claimed that the so-called   midterm census is funded by World Bank. 

Also it is no longer a midterm Census as the President Bio and his administration claimed.  We are getting to the tail end of 2021, by the time they are done with evaluation of the so-called census, it would have been end of 2022. And 2022 is political campaign year for the 2023 national election, and it would have past midterm.  Because midterm by description should be done in 2020. 

Besides,  Sierra Leone is in abject poverty as we speak.  Our people are struggling to have one square meal a day, no water, no electricity, no good hospital, no jobs and many more sufferings. Why not use that monet to better the lives of our people. 

The so-called midterm census to to manipulate our electoral process. 

So I am kindly asking all progressive Sierra Leoneans in Sierra Leone to say No to Midterm Census. And also calling on the World Bank to cancel the census.
