Meisam Amani is an Internationally accredited instructor with over 10 years of experience in teaching HALA Martial Arts. He has been providing free training to students and other works members for about a year here at The Works, with their permission. The training was open to people of all skill levels, and helped improve flexibility, fitness while teaching Martial Art forms for free. Many people benefited from the program.
However, the new Management at the works has suddenly cancelled this practice. There are other groups that are still allowed to practice while HALA martial arts group isn't allowed to. The reasons given aren't consistent and do not align with the Works mission statement of "providing accessible, diverse, and innovative programs and services to the university community and the general public."
Our goal is to show the management at Works that there is a demand for martial arts at the Works. There are many aerobic classes but no martial arts ones. If you are interested in improving your flexibility and fitness, while learning martial arts in a fun and safe environment at the Works, please put your name. Let us show that there are many that are interested in learning, or in encouraging others to learn martial arts on campus.
