Nina Kelly started this petition to Woolworths and

Residents urge Woolworths Keysborough South (217 Chapel Road Keysborough) to improve the pedestrian crossing access from Chapel Road to the north. The suburb has now grown to 12,000+ residents.

1) In a couple of months, pedestrian movements will increase as the local Council completes the entire footpath link the length of Chapel Road to Woolworths Keysborough South.

2) The position of the neighbouring fence on the south footpath blocks sight causing a blind spot for drivers exiting your store. This has been an issue since the store opened a few years back. Which the community has raised with Woolworths previously. Since the store first opened McDonald's is now a tenant.

3) The footpath to the south only directly services no more than 10 residential properties.

4) A new primary school will open shortly within 200metres and many parents will park at your shopping centre to take advantage to walk their children to school. Investment in a safer footpath will, in turn, increase your profits if there is a safer pedestrian crossing.

The City of Greater Dandenong Council is aware that this matter is an ongoing issue. The community understands this footpath is Woolworth's responsibility as it positioned in the company's land.

Our community encourages a healthy active lifestyle if safe active travel infrastructure is in place we hope to see more of the community walk to your store and urge you to install safer footpaths to the north side of Chapel Road.

Thank you
