No banana wastage

We are 10-11year old school kids and our teacher showed us the documentary of the "War on Waste". We were upset that so many healthy and delicious bananas are thrown away each day. There is nothing wrong with these bananas, they are just either too big or small, too bent or straight, or just a bit ugly. We think the big supermarket chains should buy these bananas to sell in their shops. Even if they want to charge less for these, at least they would not be thrown away. Plus there are many organisations that provide food to the poor, any leftovers should be donated to them. Another option for these other bananas is to dry them for trail mix or breakfast cereals, which is really healthy.
