Honor Coach Jim Peck: Former Teacher, Coach & Athletic Director of Woodward, Oklahoma

Jim Peck coached, taught, planned, worked and lived alongside us in Woodward from 1970 to 1992 then moved on to Liberal, Kansas and back to Guthrie in Oklahoma before retiring. Let's honor him for the fundamentals of the game and determination in life he's instilled in us that carries us through many of our days still today.
We, former students, players, colleagues, sports fans and fellow community members with Jim Peck (previously) of Woodward and the surrounding areas, ask the Woodward Board of Education and town of Woodward to Honor Coach Peck (Oklahoma Coaches Hall of Fame 1989) by naming or renaming a public school sports facility and/or court.
May those who enter the doors of the facility rise to become better trained to offer their best on and off the court, better educated, equipped and inspired to move on and encourage others to rise, give their best to their families, teams and those around them.
We believe it is long overdue and proper that this man and his wife, Lynda, be recognized for their years of serving, training and encouraging as they lived and worked in this community during Jim's years of contribution to this school and especially its athletic system.
Please take a moment to sign our petition. Share a brief story or statement (if you have time as it is even more persuasive) as you sign. Thank you.
