Anula Courtis started this petition to President Joseph R. Biden

Dozens of women took to the streets of Kabul on Saturday to demand their right to work, a role in any future government, and a seat at the table in discussions with the Taliban.

The United States said it has no plans of releasing billions in Afghan assets that were frozen after the Taliban takeover, considered a key instrument for the West to pressure the group to respect women's rights and the rule of law, despite warning from humanitarian groups and others of a possible collapse of Afghanistan’s economy.

We request that the Biden Administration stand strong and take whatever action is necessary to support women in Afghanistan so that their voices are represented in government.  No woman or child should be silenced, abused, threatened or killed because they speak up for their rights.
