Students Deserve quality food

4 Years ago Woodland school dist 50 changed the quality of the food as well as the menu in an effort to make the food healthier. The result of this decision have been poor quality and poor tasting menu items that students don't want to eat. While these changes were designed to promote healthy eating the end result is many students chose to skip lunch or eat the same item every single day, neither of which is considered a healthy eating habit. Students who skip lunch have a harder time focusing on their school work and also tend to binge on junk food when they get home because they are so hungry. The intent of this petition is to ask the woodland school dist 50 school board to bring back better tasting food options that are appropriately portioned. Healthy food that students don't want to eat is not a healthy option.
