Anaiya Hussain started this petition to Woodbridge High School

As students at Woodbridge high school we feel that we’re not given sufficient education on matters such as Male violence towards women. As the issue has been heightened by recent events such as the brutal murder of Sarah Everard, we feel that the school has been performative in their response. Not only has the issue of safety been brushed over previously but, the reaction feels insincere and clumsy.
The presentations that have been show to us were tone deaf and triggering. They facilitated an environment where male students were prompted to ‘debate’ our assaults/harassment. We will not stand by and let the school silence us on an issue that directly impacts women’s lives and safety.  This petition will be presented to the leadership in an effort to demonstrate how many students are directly effected and feel a affinity for the cause. We hope that this will create in the way that Woodbridge approached these sensitive topics in the future. Thank you for showing your support!
