We know that being Catholic at COW can, at times, be difficult and even alienating.  You might feel uncomfortable with being publicly catholic at times.  It might also be hard for you to join local catholic communities, fearing discrimination or exclusion.  Woo Catholic is the Catholic Church on the campus of COW, and we seek to welcome and serve all, regardless of race, sexuality, gender identity, nationality, socio-economic status, or faith background.  We do this work in the name of Jesus of Nazareth and in the traditions of the Roman Catholic Church. 

As it stands right now, there is no dedicated catholic space on campus and so there is no place where Woo Catholic can reliably host weekly mass, meals, or other formative events.  A dedicated catholic space/chapel will assure that students at COW have a consistent, safe, comfortable, and prayerful space to grow and be formed in their expression of faith.  If this sounds like a great idea to you, please consider signing this petition!
