Why this petition matters

Started by Kamianna Kingbird

Woman’s rights were never ratified, females only have the right to vote, freedom of speech, religion, due process, etc, these are all constitutionally protected. the equal rights amendment was passed in 1923 but it was never ratified. The date for ratification was pushed back until the 1970’s. It was brought up again in the 1980’s and at that time a few women groups had opposed this, as well as many powerful groups. Only 35 of the 38 states needed to ratify this bill had passed this. Women don’t get equal pay, and so many laws in different states are “against woman's rights”. This is all constitutional because we are not protected.

I'm making this petition in hopes it will be signed by many women and men to get this passed. You can find “All men are created equal” in the U.S. Declaration of Independence. This quote was made by Thomas Jefferson in 1776 at the beginning of the American Revolution. Let’s stand as a group, and make change happen make Thomas Jefferson’s quote the truth in America. Be a part of something bigger and help protect ourselves and our loved ones.
