So many women at Nothern are getting dress coded over the smallest thing. A simple tank top, a barely cropped shirt. We can’t wear anything without getting told it’s “for the beach.” What else are we supposed to wear in 80 degree weather in an extremely hot school. Men can wear their pants under their butt but as soon as a womens stomach shows even slightly, they get yelled at. It’s unfair especially to women. The principle or the board of education has the power to help change this issue and make our school feel like a safer place for women. If we win then the girls at this school can feel comfortable wearing what they want and get the education they need instead of being taken out of class for such a small problem. Even if we lose, we will not stop fighting for this issues. We can’t do our work if we’re told to cover up especially when clothing stores have a high amount of cropped clothing that gets sold. No one is buying a whole new set of clothing because the school, only the school has an issue with it. Even the boys at this school do not care what the women are wearing by any means. We are tired of feeling like the ones that are forced to do things when we just want to go to school.
