I’m signing this as working for a local women’s centre, I see first hand what an amazing job our ladies do to help and support hundreds of women who are suffering from domestic abuse, poor mental health, social isolation, lack of job opportunities and housing. We are grateful of the fund we have from Tampon Tax that is partly funding our outreach programme. Our finances are being constantly squeezed with what funding is available along with increased costs for rent & utilities. Our reserves will barely see us through another year without more long term funding and help with core costs. We worry where this increasing number of women will be able to turn to.

I'm signing because periods should not be taxed, period, but since they were and women were penalized for their biology, we should provide restitution and support women with the money gained.

We paid in, the government pledged to invest this in vital women's charities, services and community projects - which have been badly affected by funding cuts - we want our money back.

The government should be held to account. It's a natural for women to menstrate. We pay each month and the money must be given to women's groups. Paying in arrears is also not what was agreed by George Osborne.
We cannot accept this nonsense .

Because it's an unfair tax on the natural cycle of the womans body.

women being unfairly taxed in this way should have this money exclusively directed to womens' support services if it cannot (and should be) axed altogether

It's unfair that women once again are at a detriment due to having a period! This is what nature intended and as such this govt. Is collecting tax on tampons and sanitary products. This is unfair and I support the need for all monies collected to go to women's charities.
