Brett Dunnell started this petition to Wollongong councillors

So many high rise buildings going up, reduction in foot traffic effecting local businesses , increased pressure on local infrastructure public transportation. Many of the buildings are not at full occupancy. The massive increase in the number of high rise buildings and yet no sufficient parking to cater. The reduction in green space in Wollongong is now creating a concrete jungle, home owners are being forced out of the area by developers building up and around them forcing them to sell. The development needs to be controlled by our council height restrictions placed on building developments. The question here is who is living in these buildings and what is the long term plan for our city? Currently we have an increase in poverty in our area, drug and alcohol issues have greatly increased, by creating more of these condensed living conditions  people will struggle further for employment, for parking and for general quality of life. Most of our beautiful heritage has been lost smaller apartments have been knocked down to build ugly buildings blocking the sunlight from our highstreet shops, and again the issue of parking people in this city already struggle trying access the shops, stadium, the beach the list goes on.
