Zebra Crossing on Culver Lane

Every day - residents of Whitegates have to cross Culver Lane in order to get to both St Peters Primary School and Alfred Sutton Primary School, as well as to go under the bridge towards Palmer Park. At peak times, this can be quite difficult with many motorists using Culver Lane as a cut-through. Despite speed-humps, some cars can also be going quite fast. Wokingham Borough Council have been consulted and are going to survey the road for both vehicle speed and volume, but to aid the cause - this survey will demonstrate to the council Highways Department that there is a dire need to increase road safety on this road. A zebra crossing on Culver Lane would help keep our children safe on this road.
