Replace the green bridge in Woking Park

The green bridge in Woking Park is old, shaky, narrow and in need of replacement. With the redevelopment of Woking currently happening, the bridge, which is the main source of traffic in the park as it is directly on the main path. ParkRun uses it, as do the hundreds of college students who pass through it every day.

Having lived in the area since I was born, I use the park on a weekly basis to commute to work and to get to town. Also, being a cyclist and a pedestrian I find it frustrating that the bridge is too narrow for more than one bike to pass safely through, as the bridge judders underneath them.

If this petition wins, I propose to Woking Borough council that they remove the bridge and replace it with a much wider, two-way bridge, that can accommodate larger buggies, bikes and pedestrians together.
