Legalize Lane Filtering in Wisconsin
This petition had 2,895 supporters
I, along with many other motorcyclists in the state of Wisconsin, would like to have our government legalize the act of lane filtering. Lane filtering is when a motorcycle slows to 15-20mph under the speed limit (or more in some cases) and splits between two lanes of stopped traffic to get to the front of the line of stopped vehicles. This law has been passed in the state of California and many other states are attempting to legalize it. Lane filtering reduces the chance of rear end collisions with motorcycles (which are often deadly for the motorcycle's operator) and clears the roadway for other motorists. With the help of my fellow riders, we can get this law passed and make just another step towards the safety of riders and motorists alike. I hope you all will sign this petition and help your fellow riders.
