Do Not Rehire Former Spanish River High School Principal William Latson

April 2018 Spanish River High School Principal William Latson said that "Can`t say the Holocaust is a factual, historical event. This is not only offensive to a lot of people but it crosses the line into a hate crime or an anti semitic incident that the palm beach school district should launch a proper investigation into the comment made by William Latson which failed to do so.
We do not agree with the Judge`s ruling and demand Palm Beach County School District to appeal this decision.
in 1981 a Judge in the case brought by Mel Mermelstein had declared that a legally incontestable fact that the Holocaust is a fact. If a educator cannot educate youth based on facts then he or she should NOT be a educator.
William Latson SHOULD NOT get his job back what he said is based on opinion not a proven fact (based on a 1981 court case decision)
Holocaust is a incontestable proven fact and education about genocide as a whole should be mandated to graduate high school. Schools are a place for only facts not opinion.
William Latson protected those Holocaust denial volunteers but not the other volunteers this is also wrong and bias and an other reason why he should NOT be rehired. What he did by protecting those holocaust denial parents and students is discrimination.
10/07/20 School Board of Palm Beach County Schools voted 4-3 to reinstate William Latson. This is a slap in the face to all Holocaust victims. We cannot allow Antisemitism and discrimination to take hold in the school system.
Those 4 who voted for his reinstatement should NOT win re-election.
