To change the use of the existing LED street lighting used in wigan to a better/brighter quality of LED lights.
The LED lights used in our Borough are of a poor dim quality specially on side roads appose to the previously used SOX/SON lanterns. They make it hard to see when walking at night creating very dark patches in areas and making it easy for crime to be committed.
The use of brighter LED lights will improve the safety for pedestrians and make it less appealing for anti social behaviour and crimes to be committed.
